Beach Weddings………. Should we?
I talk to so many brides from all over the world and the majority of them are sold without a doubt on getting married on the beach is the ONLY way to go. But every once in a while, I run across an apprehensive bride, debating on the idea. They are in the middle of the pros and the cons, the what ifs and the what about that’s. The conversation always turns to them asking me, “What do you think we should do?” And without fail and without hesitation, I say, “You are crazy if you don’t!”
Getting married on the beach may not be for everyone, but if it’s an option and you are even slightly thinking about it, you MUST do it. I tell them to listen to my pro list about getting married on the beaches here in Anna Maria or anywhere close to it. Take Anna Maria Island for example, (I live here, so I’m quite partial to our quaint little paradise).

1. There are 7 miles of amazing beaches to choose from and you can’t go wrong with one inch of it.
2. This island is unlike any where I’ve experienced in the USA. You’ll feel as if you have gone to another country, yet you didn’t need a passport.

You can visit places like Sarasota, FL, St. Armond’s Circle, Mote Aquarium, The Anna Maria City Pier, Bean Point (great spot to do the ceremony). I could list hundreds of places that you would love.
4. The businesses here on the island that have anything to do with weddings are accustomed to helping couple plan a wedding from afar.
People like Silvia’s Flower Corner; she does the most unique and beautiful arranges in the area. Reverend Charlie; he’ll give you such relaxing and romantic feel to your ceremony. The Sand Bar, The Beach House, Anna Maria Island Resorts and Pineapple Fish will help you with a place for all the parties, Anna Maria Island Accommodations can help you with accommodations for all your friends and family, Body N’ Sol or Aqua Aveda will help you look and feel your best on your big day. The list goes on and on, but these are all great people that will take care of you while you are here.

6. Beach weddings are great because everyone is on vacation and relaxed. The sound of the waves crashing in the Gulf of Mexico, the fresh ocean breeze, the sugary white sand and the warm sunshine makes all your worries disappear.
7. But the best………..Your PICTURES! Think of your pictures! Wedding Pictures last a life time. You’ll look at them over and over again, but think of looking at them when it’s 28 degrees, there is snow on the ground and you have had it with winter. You’ll open that wedding album and your toes will instantly warm up thinking of being in the sand from the Florida Beaches. How many people get the luxury of that kind of back drop for their wedding?
You won’t regret one single moment of the time you spend on Anna Maria Island.
